This position is responsible for ensuring that the facility provides the highest quality golfing experience expected by our guests and members with the primary focus on customer service and satisfaction resulting in the generation of desired financial returns for the Company.

  • Assist the Director of Golf in the creation and implementation of strategies to achieve the Company's expected profitability.
  • Assist the Director of Golf in establishing rates for green fees, cart fees, instructional fees, license and membership fees, etc. with the flexibility to adjust fees to meet market demand, generate incremental income in order to meet targeted income projections.
  • Assist the Merchandising Manager in establishing inventory controls, including the purchase of hard and soft goods in order to meet specific needs of the clientele of that particular facility. The actual purchasing will continue to be performed by the Merchandising Manager.
  • Establish strategies of working with providers and other suppliers in order to maximize traffic and revenue generation from the leisure and group segments.
  • Establish strategies for the instructional programs offered and to participate in their implementation.
  • Establish customer service training strategies for all employees.
  • Generate annual operating and capital budgets and, upon approval, adhere to budgets and forecast to obtain financial goals.
  • Generate pertinent data at facility to tract usage and trends to be used by the Sales and Marketing Division.
  • Assist in the long range planning for facility.
  • Responsible for the daily presentation of course, building (interior and exterior), equipment and grounds to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise all tournament related golf course preparations.
  • Coordinate with the Golf Course Superintendent on all facility activities and events.
  • Responsible for the formulation and implementation of a Pace of Play program for facility.
  • Handle customer service complaints in a professional and proactive environment.
  • Coordinate all schedules of employees.
  • Ensure all employees under are treated equally in accordance with all Company policies and applicable laws.
  • Provides support to Director of Food and Beverage as needed regarding all food and beverage.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

  • Possess a personality that will make people feel welcome and reflect favorably on the facility.
  • Shall be a competent golfer with considerable experience in teaching and organizing instructional programs and in the management of tournaments.
  • Have merchandising and golf shop operational skills.
  • Have promotional ability, physical and mental energy and have demonstrated creative talents.
  • Golf Experience of 5 10 years preferred.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

Class A Professional preferred

Member of the PGA of America in good standing preferred
