Continuously exemplifies the Greenwood Communities and Resorts mission, values and customer service philosophy in job performance and in relationships to others.  This position solicits, maintains and develops relationships with local business partners in regards to resort activities; Golf Sales Coordinator will assist Group Sales Manager, Director of Sales and other sales team members. This position works closely with the entire sales team (Business Development Manager and Reservations, as well as operations and marketing to coordinate the distribution of Resort activity collateral. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provides sales and administrative support to Group Sales Manager and Revenue and Sales Manager.
  • Creates and maintains files for all Groups
  • Prepares weekly Sales Log / Report of new business and contacts
  • Acts as liaison between all operations staff including Golf, Tennis, Marina, Outfitters and Accommodations.
  • Communicates with Director of Marketing in reference to resort marketing support collateral materials for Resort activities.
  • Enters account, contact and other pertinent information into sales/property management and reservation systems for tracking, marketing and data processing purposes as well as for the organization of the event
  • Assists in preparation of group & event contracts, group & event payment, guest mailings, check request and any special sales events.
  • Attends sales meetings for communications, future planning, budgeting, etc.
  • Attends community and networking events to promote Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort for activities
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Responds to Golf only RFPs and other requests for activities when available.
  • Others reasonable duties as needed to support Sales and activities throughout the Resort.

 

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

  • Knowledge of the local area, including Palmetto Dunes
  • Knowledge of resort activities
  • Computer skills word, excel, outlook
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Extroverted social skills
  • Hotel / Resort Sales experience preferred

 

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Required: 4 year degree or equivalent experience

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Out-of-office and in-office work
  • Some required travel for sales blitz & tradeshow attendance
  • Some weekends, Holidays and evening will be required.
